The College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Mathematics, organized a scientific lecture entitled (Reducing the bias of variance estimators for the repeated measures model)
The lecture presented by (Hadeel Ismail Mustafa) included:
This episode formulated a one-way repeated measures model and added some assumptions to the mathematical model. The model included two fixed effects with their interactions and two random effects. After that, the model was reformulated in the form of matrices. The vector of variance components for the mathematical model, which included three components (the variance of the random effects and the amount of error), was estimated using the maximum weighting method. Although the maximum weighting method is considered a good estimation method that produces unbiased estimates, an amount of bias appeared in our study model. In the estimators of variance components. To reduce this bias, we investigated a new method to reduce the rate of bias in the estimators of the variance components of the one-way repeated measures model.
