The Computer Science Department at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a course entitled (Journal Management (OJS)) and was sponsored by the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem. The course was opened in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Majid. Muhammad Jassim and a number of respected members of the editorial boards of Basrah University magazines. Prof. Dr. Hamid Ali Abdul-Asadi and M.M. Abdullah Jassim Yassin presented at the session, covering many of the following basic topics:
A training and development course entitled Journal Management (Open Journal System)
Which aims to provide members of the editorial boards of university journals with the necessary skills to manage the electronic system for publishing scientific journals, through the processes of submission, arbitration and editing of scientific research electronically via the (OJS) system, which in turn will help the university’s journals to spread globally.
The session also included many interventions, lively discussions, and inquiries from the attendees, which reflected the positive interaction and high interest in the topic on their part. The first day of the course concluded with the course lecturers answering attendees’ inquiries. Note that the participant will be provided with a participation letter after fulfilling the course conditions.
