The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture entitled (Pharmacological Applications of Azo compounds)
The lecture presented by the researcher (Ali Zaboun Salman) included a review of the preparation of azo dyes, their classification, and the toxicity of these dyes in the pharmaceutical industries, as well as the biological importance of azo dyes, therapeutic applications as anticancers, and the use of a new azo dye for the selective detection of glycine.
