Basrah University organizes a scientific lecture entitled (Nanoparticles and their role in removing environmental pollutants)

The College of Education and Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture entitled (Nanoparticles and their role in removing environmental pollutants)
The lecture presented by the student (Mahmoud Nassif Jassim) included in this seminar the nanomaterials whose dimensions range from 1 to 100 nm. . Also, the classification of nanomaterials was dealt with in terms of dimensions, and it was classified into one-dimensional nanomaterials, two-dimensional nanomaterials, and three-dimensional nanomaterials, as well as methods for the synthesis of nanomaterials, which are divided into two main parts, which are the top-down method and the top-down method. Bottom-up. Also, the green synthesis of nanoparticles through plant extracts was discussed, which are considered the most stable and the best candidates for the rapid natural synthesis of mineral nanoparticles compared to other traditional synthesis methods, and since the stability of these nanomaterials is a result of the natural composition of the plant and its organic compounds as reducing agents, meaning that the plant extracts It contains large quantities of effective chemicals such as methyl xanthine, phenolic acids, flavonoids, glucose and other compounds. Together, these substances are referred to as antioxidants. These nanomaterials obtained from a plant were used as catalysts and photocatalysts in removing pollutants in water or water. Which contain organic dyes and prepared in the laboratory.
