The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah , under the supervision of the Educational Counseling and Psychological Guidance Unit and the Department of Chemistry, organized a workshop entitled (The health and psychological effects of drugs on humans)
The workshop included the presence of specialists
Basrah  health and police command
The workshop included the first axis / the legal aspect in the presence of
Brigadier General Hussein Faleh Nehme from the Basrah  Police Command - Criminal Evidence Department
In which he explained the legal penalties for drug abusers
The second axis is the health aspect
Dr. Ghaleb Nouri Nasr Al-Musawi
And a lecture entitled the effect of drugs on the physical health of man and its impact on the individual and society
The third axis is the psychological aspect
Professor Dr. Abdul Karim Zayer Al-Muzani
/ Director of the Human Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Basrah / and his lecture on the psychological effects resulting from drug abuse. And the role of psychological rehabilitation in overcoming it
The workshop included a set of questions and answers to them by the workshop specialists
The specialists were honored with letters of thanks by the Deanship of the College of Education for Pure Sciences
