The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture entitled (Detection of carbenem-resistant bacteria from the environment of some hospitals in Basrah)
The lecture presented by the student (Rawaa Salem Abbas) included the importance of the topic in that carbapenem antibiotics are the last resort for treating bacterial infections with multiple resistance to antibiotics. Despite this, a study showed the presence of bacterial types that are resistant to these antibiotics, which calls for finding new antibiotics to treat these cases, which Without it, it makes disease difficult to treat and increases mortality among patients with bacterial infection.
