A PhD thesis at the University of Basrah discussing (oxidation states, antioxidants and lipid profile in acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients in Basrah Governorate - Iraq)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  discussed a PhD thesis on (oxidation states - antioxidants and lipid profile in acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients in Basrah  Governorate - Iraq)
The thesis presented by the researcher (Alaa Ali Hussein) included
A study of the estimation of the biochemical activities of the levels of enzymatic antioxidants (CAT, SOD, GPX) and non-enzymatic ones such as vitamins A, E, and C, as well as liver enzymes ((GOT, GPT, ALP), total bilirubin, albumin, urea, creatinine, and lipid profile (total cholesterol, triglycerides, and protein fats). And some trace elements (zinc, copper, selenium) and malondie aldehyde.
The results of the study showed a significant decrease in the levels of hemoglobin, antioxidant enzymes (CAT, SOD, GPX), vitamins (A, E, C), albumin, lipid profile (total cholesterol, triglycerides, VLDL, LDL, HDL) and trace elements (zinc and selenium). .
There was a significant increase in the levels of liver enzymes (GOT, GPT, ALP, bilirubin, urea, creatinine, Non-HDL, copper and MDA) according to gender, age and family history (P<0.0001).
