The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture on the phenotypic and molecular characterization of the intermediate host of the liver worm in the Chibayish Marshes.
  The lecture presented by the student (Maha Saddam Ghaji) included
Phenotypic study and measuring the dimensions of the shell of this snail and confirming the presence of polymorphism in it and using molecular techniques (mitochondrial and nuclear genes) and bioinformatics, which is the first study to prove the presence of this host in Thi-Qar Governorate.
