Basrah University organizes a scientific lecture entitled (A thermodynamic and kinetic study of the adsorption of drugs from their aqueous solutions)

The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra organized a scientific lecture entitled (A thermodynamic and kinetic study of the adsorption of drugs from their aqueous solutions)
The lecture presented by (Mostafa Tawfiq Hamdi) included introducing the science of toxicology and its history, knowing the types of poisoning, knowing how the process of poisoning with pharmaceutical drugs is carried out, and how the process of treating poisoning is carried out using activated carbon as an adsorbent surface for the adsorption of drug solutions. Acids, bases and some salts. Finally, the adsorption process, adsorption types and adsorption isotherms were explained.
The purpose of the lecture
Knowing how the bodies are poisoned with pharmaceutical drugs
And clarification of the role of activated carbon in withdrawing toxins resulting from exceeding the drug dose and from the natural accumulation of toxins as a result of the frequent use of these drugs and a full detail of the structures of activated carbon (porous, crystalline and chemical structure) using diagnostic devices (SEM), (FTER), (XRD) and ( UV-V) to follow the adsorption process on the surface of the activated carbon
