Given the importance of this family in the field of forensic entomology and its role in determining the post-mortem period (PMI), and its medical and veterinary importance for the ability of its larvae to attack animal and human tissues, causing suppurations and infections known as myiasis, and the lack of any diagnostic study for this family in the southern region of Iraq, especially Basra Governorate, the current study Highlight it through:
Conducting a phenotypic and molecular diagnostic study in Basra Governorate, and setting a taxonomic key for the diagnosed types.
And studying the annual presence in Basra governorate and determining the effect of some environmental factors on the rate of spread and distribution of wholes, especially temperature and relative humidity.
And shedding light on some of the field behavioral manifestations of the complete.
