The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah  organized a scientific lecture entitled (Determining the importance of IL-17 in food-sensitive people)
The lecture presented by the student (Nisreen Thamer Muhajer) included
Due to the recent increase in the spread of food allergy disease, which may sometimes impose great psychological, social and economic burdens on patients and their families, especially when it appears early in a person’s life, and because of its major role in the exacerbation of the disease in the majority of the population. This study aimed to determine the role of interleukin. 17 in the development of food allergy.
In the current study, serum was used to measure the immunological parameters of sensitive patients by using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to estimate the level of total immunoglobulin T. IgE, S. IgE antibody, interleukin IL-17A and interleukin IL-17F, blood was also used for gene expression study.
