The College of Education for Pure Sciences organized a scientific lecture entitled (A taxonomic and ecological study of non-diatomaceous algae in some agricultural soils in Basrah governorate areas).

The lecture presented by the student included (Iktfa Ahmed Yousef) given the importance of algae in the ecosystem, especially soil algae, and the lack of available data on the nature and spread of algae in Iraqi soils, especially in Basrah Governorate, the current study decided to shed light on it
