The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basra discussed a doctoral thesis on (a new method for the quadratic differential method to solve fluid flow problems) and the thesis included
 Presented by a doctoral student (Afrah Abdul-Imam Ahmed Al-Mazini), a new technique for the quadratic differential method was proposed to find numerical solutions to different problems in fluid flow. The accuracy of the quadratic method depends mainly on determining the type of polynomial used to calculate the weight parameters, which is one of the keys to the method. The present method is based on the modified (Laccury) polynomial formula which was used to construct the matrices of the weight coefficients of the quadratic differentiation method. The new methodology used in the work is called the Lacurie method for quadratic differentiation (LgDQM). To prove the usefulness and accuracy of the proposed method, the study concluded that the proposed new method confirmed that it is a powerful mathematical tool for solving complex fluid flow problems described in this thesis. Fast convergence with less computational effort compared to the results available in previous work.
